Cyclist Under Car

This is gruesome. Do not open the link if you are easily upset.

A Liuzhou cyclist is run over and nearly killed by a “new” driver. When the vehicle hits her, it doesn’t even stop.

What gets me is that the tone seems to be blaming the cyclist. OK, she was going against the prevailing traffic direction, but that is no excuse for mowing her down.

The driver will, no doubt, be let off with a talking-to.

What is wrong with this place? Nothing is ever the driver’s fault. Even when they are unable to control their vehicles. I bet the driver was on the phone, too.

That’s shocking! How on earth could the driver keep on going after the initial collision? In fact, I think it was only the resistance of the cyclist and her bike underneath the car that eventually stopped it going any further forward.

He was probably texting his girlfriend to ask which pedal was the brake!
